The english program

Last week talk about english program and now I will talk about this program again,because journalism program it has me stressed.

The english program in the university is fine to me. I mean, write blogs, make videos and activities in class is a good idea, but I think that it's not enough for careers like journalism and cinema and tv, beacuse we study communication, and is very important to us learn another language like english, becuase "is universal language" (too imperialistic, I know), but this language it opens doors for future works.

For example a journalist that it’s working in a media in Chile, and the England queen dies (it’s an example, I do not wanna kill the queen). The editor of this media will send to cover that event to journalist that knew talk english, and if you don’t know that language, sorry but you are not useful.

I think that another level of english is a good idea, but that level it would be just practice, like group conversations with topics related with ours careers, for example for journalist students, talk about news or things that it happend in the world, and for cinema students talk about movies, directors and things related with their career (sorry cine-friends, but I don't know more things about their career).

Learn a good english it's very important, but also I think that exist another languages that it's so important too, like sing language, mapudungún or quechua. I belive if we, like students, are able to learn one of this languages, we can reach more people, and communicate the things that we consider important.  

My big challenge

When I was a child, I remember see to my mother and uncle learn english, they do that because their need it for their jobs. My mom work in a Hotel and the have to talk with a lot people to the other countrys. And his brother (my uncle) usually travel to a lot parts of the world for their job in a mining company. I remember when my mom put a cassette of english pronunciation in the radio car and go with her repeating what the radio said.

The english like me, but scare me. I can understand a lot of things, but when I have to use this lenguage in a special time the nervious paralyze me, and I can't understand nothing. I think that its something about my self confidence.

Learn english is one of my big challenges, because it's so important to my career and its a plus for get a job in the future.

I think that the english classes in the university serving, but it's not enough. I think that for learn a good english and talk and read and write and understand all to the great way, we have to travel to a country where the people talk english all time, like New Zeland, Australia, or a country to United Kingdom.

I think that in my future I will go from Chile and I'll make a thing called 'working hollidays'. I would like go to Ireland or New Zeland and learn english in this countrys.

I hope that this class has been useful for everyone, like was to me.

summer but without holidays

The last summer was so great for me, I traveled to Huilo Huilo with my father and my little sister, I went to San Pedro de Atacama with my school friends and I visited Brasil with my mom and my little sister. I went to a lot of partys and I had a really good time, but this summer the things are changed, because I am doing the practice and I work to the last day of January.

Sounds sad but I don't care, even I be excited, because in february I'll travel to Barcelona. I'm going for six months, because I'm going to exchange, So when I think about the practice I said to my self 'no matter in february you'll be in Spain' and all the bad things that pass to my mind, dissapear.

This travel it's so important to me, because since when I was child I dream to visit and live in Barcelona, even I think that in my others life I lived in that city jajaja.

For now I am learning catalán and making all the paperwork for the visa and that things. I'm so excited and I hope that this trip be so great, and that achieved learn a lots of things.

I finish the practice on January 31, and I take the airplane february 5 or 6, and the class in Barcelona start on February 11, so this year I had summer but without holidays.

I lost my wallet :(

Actually I don't know what write on this blog, I think that I will write that I lost my wallet with all my documents last night and I don't know what to do, because I have to travel to my  town and I don´t have my studen card for the bus, I don't have my cards and I don't have my money, so I am crying now.

The last that I remember of my wallet is that I had it in my hands, then I took the bus to my house, I opened the door, I entered to the kitchen and  then I went to my bed. And this morning when I wake up, and made all the things that I have to do, I started to keep my things in my backpack (cause I have to travel to my town) and I realize that I don't have my little wallet :(

I searched for all my bedroom and for all my things, I went to the kitchen, to the living room, to the bathroom, but I couldn't find it.

I hope that my roomie have my wallet, cause last night I passed it because I didn't have pockets, even though I remember that she pass it me back.

I hope that my wallet appear and the goblin of the lost things have pity on me and give it back to me.    

why journalism?

Actually I dont know why I choose this career, maybe was for the versatility, because I liked  (and I like) others careers, like nursing or obstetrics, even I was  close to enter obstetrics in Universidad de Valparaíso, but I preferred apply for journalism because I liked the idea of live in Santiago lonely.
Also the others careers was so formal to me, because I am messy and not very structured, so now I think that was a very good choice, because I can`t imagine me working in a hospital or in a surgery. 
Also in this career I'm constantly discovering things that like me, and the last time I was working in a tv show (actually is not tv show, because we use youtube called Demente Abierta, this is a sex education serie, where talk about STD, abortion, self pleasure and romantic love. I'm so happy working in there, because I work with friends and we enjoy doing that and I think that the people notice it. 
Now I will leave you my favorite episode of Demente Abierta, called "Masturbación, porno y presiones sociales", in that opportunity we interviewed to Paula Acuña, she does classes about natural gynecology and self pleasure, I hope you enjoy it.

Gilmore girls

In the last time, I've become accustomed to watch series or movies in Netflix or internet. Some that I watched are "Gossip Girl", "Call the midwife", "La Casa de Papel", "Friends", "The Handmaid's tale" among other. 

With Netflix I could see series that I once saw on TV, but I couldn't follow. One of this is the "Gilmore Girls", that I can call like my favorite serie of all the times. The "Gilmore girls" talk about of a mother (Lorelai Gilmore) and daughter (Rory Gilmore) relationship and the problems of his life.
I like this serie because the life of the protagonits it seems in some aspects in my life and the relationship that I got with my mom. The Gilmore Girls has very simple plot, and some people think that is boring, but I'm a simple girl jajaja
The last year Netflix make a new season of this serie and I hope soon make another one, because the last chapter was shocking and the fans of the Gilmore Girls want to know what happened with the life of this two girls. 

The country I would like to go: CUBA

A country that I would like to go is Cuba, because (from what i've seen in pictures and tv shows) I feel that is a place stoped in time, and full of beautiful places, also i would like visit cuba because  I like de rythm of cuban music like Celia Cruz and the colors of his citys and also mojito jaja .
I know about Cuba that is a country that lived a socialist revolution in 1959 and from them the country lives with socialist politics.

In Cuba I would like go to beaches like Varadero or Playa Larga, rove the historic center and learn about the history of that country, know the universty that teach social comunication  and obviously drink mojitos.

I would like Study in the island, because I like the vision that they have for social comunication, I would like to learn from them theories and practices for be a better communicator and be a contribution for the community.
